Communication service providers (CSPs) are always looking to improve the experience of their subscribers by offering better services. But without the right network solutions in place it becomes much harder, which is why the new partnership between Radisys and Sanctum Networks will deliver an SDN-enabled network services platform aimed at optimizing subscriber services.
With this partnership, both companies will be bringing their best of class solutions together for a unified SDN platform so CSPs can have carrier scale and performance with on-demand network services.
Radisys, a company specializing in delivering new revenue streams and driving cost out of the services delivery infrastructure of communications and content providers, is going to be bringing its FlowEngine Intelligent Traffic Distribution System. And Sanctum Networks, provider of Software Defined Networking solutions, will add its Jupiter commercial SDN controller so together they can offer a programmable network services platform.

According to both companies, CSPs will now be able to leverage the technology of this joint partnership so they can provide rich network service in real-time without the cost and complexity of other solutions. This will give consumers activation of voice, video on-demand and high-speed data from their CSPs in minutes. In addition to the expedited service, the subscriber experience will also be improved with guaranteed higher service levels and more advanced offerings.
“We’re pleased to partner with Radisys, the experts in integrated carrier-grade hardware and software for SDN deployments, to deliver an industry-first solution that revolutionizes Internet service models across data center and carrier core infrastructure,” said Nazneen Shaikh, vice president of product management, Sanctum Networks.
The new offerings and capabilities will be possible because the combined technologies from Radisys and Sanctum provides flexible programmability on control and data plane systems with seamless orchestration. With carrier-grade traffic aggregation, service automation and real-time analytics for the network edge environments and data center core, CSPs can manage and scale new services faster than ever before.
