VergX, Versa Help MSPs Deliver SD-WAN

By Paula Bernier June 20, 2017

SD-WAN provides a new opportunity for solution providers to bring new value to business customers. And VergX is helping them move on that opportunity.

The company, a best-in-class single source provider of turnkey cloud-managed reseller solutions, is leveraging SD-WAN technology from Versa Networks to deliver network-as-a-service solutions.

The Versa Networks Cloud IP Platform, which supports multi-tenancy, multi-service, elasticity and zero-touch provisioning, brings SD-WAN and cybersecurity protection to the branch office. This solution consists of three components. The FlexVNF delivers all the routing, SD-WAN, and other functionality. The Director manages, provisions, and monitors the solutions. And the Analytics database and engine drive the real-time and historical data.

The VergX NaaS offering enables MSPs and resellers to get to market within weeks with a tiered service portfolio including advanced SD-WAN, next-generation firewall, and unified threat management capabilities. And this cloud-based service doesn’t require VergX partners to make upfront equipment purchases.

“This is a key component of the VergX strategy and business, enabling our MSP and reseller partners to quickly and easily enter a fast growing market, expand their offering and stay on the cutting edge of cloud technology,” said Brian Fink, a board member of VergX. “We chose Versa after extensive research, because their multi-tenant platform-based approach and deep security offering provides our partners with a true enterprise-grade offering to their end-users.”

As Charlene O’Hanlon explained in a recent Versa Networks blog, NaaS is a great option for resellers with networking experience.

“Narrowing the focus to SD-WAN, which is a cost-effective, faster and simpler-to-manage alternative to traditional WANs, can help this new breed of reseller-turned-service provider differentiate from its hardware-focused competitors while reaping recurring revenue,” she added.

And she said that SD-WAN and SD-Security offer an array of benefits not found in traditional WANs. That includes app-based traffic management, better security, easier provisioning, and the fact that they are agnostic to the type of transport involved.
