Qosmos Appoints New Executives in Support of SDN and NFV Deployments

By Laura Stotler June 24, 2015

The prevalence of SDN and NFV technologies in network architectures has led to a number of expansions and enhancements within the industry. Deep packet inspection (DPI) and network intelligence specialist Qosmos has benefitted from the uptake and has announced new appointments to its executive management team.

Qosmos has appointed Didier Cohen as vice president of product management and Jean-Pierre Coury as vice president of customer operations as part of its expansion. The new company leaders will help guide the direction of Qosmos as the solution provider makes inroads powering physical, SDN and NFV architectures. Qosmos software is used by vendors to add real-time application awareness to their solutions. This is useful for offerings like traffic optimization, service training, QoS, cyber security and analytics.

“We are dedicated to delivering innovative products for SDN, NFV and open source environments, as well as high levels of service to our customers,” said Thibaut Bechetoille, CEO of Qosmos. “With these key executive appointments, Qosmos further contributes to the deployment of future networks while strengthening its commitment to an ever-increasing customer base.”

Cohen will manage global product strategy at the company while guiding innovation and expanding the product portfolio for open source architectures as well as SDN and NFV deployments. He previously founded Anthalia and has 20 years of experience in strategic consulting and leadership at technology companies.

Coury is set to lead customer operations along with customer project management and technical support and service strategy. He holds 15 years of experience working in the networking and telecom industries and previously managed technical support and customer operations at Netcentrex and Comverse.

Qosmos has been active in the SDN and NFV development communities as well, earlier this month endorsing the OPNFV Arno platform. The industry standard, open source platform is designed to facilitate adoption of NFV, and enables components from different vendors to interwork by using standardized interfaces approved by ETSI, ONF and IETF. The platform is the first of its kind and is set to accelerate innovation and development of NFV products and services.
