NetCracker 10 Features Built-in Big Data Analytics

Billing and support systems company NetCracker Technology today unveiled version 10 of its platform. New with this iteration is big data analytics functionality that can be used across all domains of the solution.

“Extreme competition in the communications marketplace has forced operators to deliver and differentiate their offerings with superior customer experience. Advanced analytics and biometrics-driven CEM solutions will help operators humanize their customer experience initiatives and deliver expected levels of customer experience,” said Sheryl Kingstone, research director at 451 Research, who NetCracker quoted in its press release issued today. “NetCracker 10’s CEM solution, which seamlessly brings together advanced analytics, big data and biometrics, will help operators transform their customer experience programs.”

In a press conference yesterday, Sanjay Mewada, vice president of strategy at NetCracker, also mentioned that the platform enables service providers to more easily transition from legacy networks to hybrid environments with virtualized network functions. He added that NetCracker has long been known for its single-platform approach. All 10 pieces of the NetCracker total solution are preintegrated, he added, and built on a single platform so users don’t have to buy additional systems to add new capabilities.

The NetCracker platform can be used for customer and partner management, revenue management, operations management, orchestration, and more. Mewada added that orchestration is now a seamless capability of the platform.

Founded in 1993, NetCracker was purchased in NEC by 2008, but remains an autonomous entity and in 2011 bought the Subex Activation Business and in 2012 purchased Convergys’ IM business. Its parent company, NEC, is a company based on Japan with 100,000 employees, 258 subsidiaries, more than 250 customers, and $30.4 billion in net sales.
