NTT America Shows ITEXPO 2015 The Power of ICT Solutions

By Steve Anderson January 29, 2015

Information and communications technology (ICT) services are a major part of everyday life, particularly when it comes to work. Considering how many fields fall under this broad umbrella term, it's hard to even consider an environment in which these tools aren't on hand. NTT America, meanwhile, took to the stage at ChannelVision Expo—collocated with ITEXPO 2015, running through January 30 at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami, Florida—to show off just what kind of capability it had on hand, and even offer up some insight into the wider ICT market.

On January 29 at 2:30 p.m., at CVx-06, NTT America's vice president and general manager Rob Westervelt will be part of a panel discussion entitled “Enabling Your End Users to Anticipate, Adjust & Act.” Within that discussion, Westervelt will reportedly be focusing on what to look for when master agents and distributors to value-added resellers (VARs) and beyond are looking for partners to expand cloud and enterprise offerings. With customers increasingly wanting control over an internal network, the ability to control server resources will be likewise prized, and that means faster response times to issues and cost savings as well, so having the right tools to handle the job will be very important.

But NTT America won't just be talking about partnerships; no, NTT America will also be opening up the floodgates on its knowledge in the ICT field as well, letting the room know just what's likely to come down the pike in terms of new technologies, with a particular focus on two names we heard quite a bit from in 2014: network functions virtualization (NFV) and software-defined networking (SDN). NTT America will also be talking about ways to put these powerful new technologies to work, so there will be general as well as specific discussion involved.

Westervelt, meanwhile, offered some specific comment of his own before the events at ITEXPO 2015, saying “We’re honored to be speaking at ITEXPO and have the opportunity to share our vision and excitement for what’s to come in ICT on both the network and cloud fronts for enterprises. With industry firsts in SDN and NFV deployment, we feel we are in a good position to leverage our own experience and expertise to explore how enterprises can achieve lower-cost, more agile, and on-demand ICT environments.”

Indeed, NTT America is well-placed to offer up such commentary, as its Enterprise Cloud system is currently the first private cloud system to deploy SDN, and NTT America is routinely putting SDN to work in providing application support at the enterprise level. That gives it plenty of credibility in the field—when it's already being used, and having any kind of success, talking about that success is usually well-received by others eager to have success as well—and makes NTT America just one of a host of great topic providers seeking a space at the floor when it comes to ITEXPO and ChannelVision Expo as well.

Those attending ITEXPO 2015 have already had a host of reasons to show up, and will have more before it's all over. For those who have yet to make it, there's plenty of reason to do so, so be sure to keep an eye out for the next installment to come.
