Metaswitch to Share Unique Perspective on the New Global Network at Software Telco Congress

By NFVZone News July 31, 2014

Leading software telco company to discuss SDN and NVF trends at Las Vegas event

Norwalk, CT—July 31, 2014—Today TMC announced that Metaswitch’s Steve Gleave will be providing an opening keynote at Software Telco Congress, held August 12-14, 2014, at The Rio in Las Vegas. The event will focus on the benefits and opportunities that Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) and Software-Defined Networking (SDN) offer, and will explore the technology, services and best approaches that promise to significantly increase carrier network flexibility while reducing costs. Gleave will deliver his keynote on Tuesday, August 12, at 8:30 am.

“The Software Telco Congress has proven itself to be a valuable addition to the tradeshow calendar,” said Gleave, SVP of marketing at Metaswitch. “With so much focus on the technology of SDN and NFV, it’s welcoming to see this congress continue to focus on what this actually enables: telcos to become more software-centric.”

Metaswitch develops openly programmable solutions that run on standard hardware or in virtualized environments and act as the key control points in elastic voice, video and data networks. In its 30-year history, the company has helped hundreds of service providers worldwide advance their infrastructures, retain their customers, extend their brands and reduce their costs through every major network transformation. In his keynote, Gleave will explore the intersection of software telcos, the new global network and the role that established providers still have to play.

“Metaswitch is at the forefront of evolving the software telco,” said Rich Tehrani, TMC CEO and conference chairman. “The company continues to understand and develop new and unique ways to address ever-changing technology demands and market trends, and we look forward to having Steve share his insight with attendees.”
