Broadvoice Enhances UC Services with Metaswitch's Cloud Telephony Server

By Rory Lidstone March 28, 2016

Metaswitch Networks and Broadvoice have an established partnership since Broadvoice was among the earliest adopters of the Metaswitch virtualized platform. It’s not surprising, then, that Broadvoice has elected to deepen this partnership, going live with a multi-state, geo-redundant configuration of Metaswitch’s clustered MetaSphere Multiservice Telephony Application Server (MTAS) in the cloud.

As a premier provider of hosted voice and data products, Broadvoice is often on the lookout for forward-thinking technologies to enhance its network and the service it provides to its customers. The company believes that this new model of a fully virtualized network from Metaswitch provides unmatched scalability, flexibility and cost efficiency.

By building on Metaswitch’s virtual network functions, Broadvoice can offer carrier-grade, real-time services like cloud PBX and business unified communications functions, along with residential offerings, backed by unparalleled multi-site redundancy and reliability.

Earlier in the year, Broadvoice introduced a channel partner bonus opportunity for its first quarter partners, granting them a one-time SPIFF of two times the monthly recurring charges when selling hosted voice services.

"With this further investment in Metaswitch's world-class technology and support services, we are doubling-down on our success to ensure that we are best positioned for taking advantage of NFV while securing our network against potential disasters, including earthquakes," said Jim Murphy, CEO of Broadvoice. "We are committed to providing a best-in-class communication platform to our channel partners and customers. All of our hosted voice customers have been seamlessly migrated to the new platform, affording them unrivalled redundancy and reliability while giving us the ability to easily flex and scale our services to our customers' demands, at any location."

Broadvoice has already deployed the MetaSphere MTAS alongside the Metaswitch Service Assurance Server (SAS). Together, these solutions give Broadvoice deep network visibility and continuous diagnostic capabilities. Each of these systems is also split across multiple cloud locations, resulting in a highly available and geographically redundant network service for ensured business continuity.
