United States : DREAMWORKS ANIMATION launches family-oriented channel for Internet generation [TendersInfo (India)]
(TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) The studio behind "Shrek," "Kung Fu Panda" and "Madagascar" movie franchises, DreamWorks Animation, has announced the launch of a family-oriented channel designed for the Internet generation.
The Glendale-based firm has recently debuted DreamWorksTV on YouTube.
Original animated and live-action short-form programming will be part of the channel, which will be run by the same team that produces AwesomenessTV, the most rapidly expanding network for teens.
DreamWorks acquired the network in 2013 for nearly $117 million.
