Sterling Presents 3D Printing, Virtualization and Smarter Cities at Event Focused on Emerging Technologies
(GlobeNewswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) NAVARRE, Fla., May 12, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- STERLING COMPUTERS CORPORATION, a leading provider of IT sales and services, announced today it will host a technology seminar at the Doolittle Innovation Institute on Tuesday, June 3rd. The event, 'On The Forefront,' will focus on up and coming technologies that will affect government, education, commercial and healthcare customers in the near future, as well as advancements being made in the current technologies being utilized by these organizations today.
Sterling plans to demonstrate its powerful 3D printing design-to-manufacturing products. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience first-hand the world's most affordable color 3D printers and take a closer look at the diversity and power of 3D printing as a whole. The company is also exhibiting other products, spanning from industrial-grade to desktop 3D printers as well as the only sub-$1,000 consumer plug and play 3D printer for everyday use by kids and adults.

Students were able to explore this new technology during their engineering design curriculum utilizing the 3D printer on loan to the institute through Sterling.
Speakers from IBM will introduce and demonstrate the IBM Smarter Cities platform covering cost-effective solutions on how cities, schools, military bases and government agencies can create actionable tasks based on the immense amount of data created in those environments. The IBM Intelligent Operations Center (IOC) will be demonstrated to show how all of this data can be displayed on any device.
Speakers from VMware will also present information on their newly released versions of VMware Horizon and virtualization platforms, and discuss how these technologies can provide cost-effective solutions for datacenter consolidation, workstation virtualization, cloud computing and storage. This event is designed to provide an entire solution based on the vendors scheduled.
