Funny fest One Night Only Comedy & Variety Festival will be in the area for two performances at 8 tonight and 11 a.m. Saturday at the Bottle Works, 411 Third Ave. in the Cambria City section of Johnstown.
Tonight's show is recommended for a mature crowd, and the Saturday morning show is open to all ages.
Performances will feature stand-up comedian and magician, Harrison Greenbaum; comedy dog act, Mutts Gone Nuts; world yo-yo champ, Mark Hayward; musical improvisers, Missy Moreno and Jesse LE; and comedic contortionist, Jonathan Burns.
Tickets for tonight's show are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Tickets for Saturday's performance are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.
Performances are general admission, and seating is limited.

Roller derby queens The J-town Roller Girls will host "Mama Said Knock You Out," a women's flat-track roller derby doubleheader, Saturday at Cambria County War Memorial Arena, 326 Napoleon St., downtown Johnstown.
Doors will open at 4 p.m., with the first whistle at 5.
The first mash-up match will feature skaters from J-town Roller Girls and Pittsburgh East Roller Villains.
The second bout is between the Flood City Sirens and State College Plan B.
Halftime entertainment will be provided by Out of His Mind Dance.
Tickets are $10 in advance or at the door. VIP tickets are $20.
Donations of cash, diapers and new and used coats to support Community Action Partnership of Cambria County's WIC Program will be accepted at the door.

Family fest The 34th annual arts and crafts festival will be held Saturday at Johnstown Christian School, 125 Christian School Road, Hollsopple.
The annual 5,000-meter race will begin at 9 a.m.
Admission is free.
Proceeds will benefit the school's general budget.

Musical classic The musical "Beauty and the Beast Jr." will be presented by Cathedral Catholic Academy Drama Club at 7 tonight and Saturday at Bishop McCort Catholic High School, 25 Osborne St., Johnstown.
Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for students in grades 1-12 and will be available at the door.
Children in kindergarten and younger will be admitted free.
Senior comedy The comedy "The Silver Whistle" will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the studio theater space at Westmont Hilltop High School, 200 Fair Oaks Drive.
The gentle comedy by Robert E. McEnroe is being directed by Rodney Eatman.
The play is set in a shabby home for the aged and features a group of forgotten senior citizens and a new energetic resident who claims he can enable even the most skeptical residents to enjoy a similar youthful vitality.
The nine graduating seniors who are in the cast are Rachelmae Pulliam, Alex Hockensmith, Emily Ward, Josh Livingston, Ben Mical, Dorothea Oller, Isaac Joseph, Madison Milligan and Abby Stern.
Admission is $5.
Photo competition The annual public photography competition, sponsored by Greater Johnstown Camera Club, will be held through May 18 at The Galleria, Richland Township.
Categories open to amateur photographers are scenic, floral, people, general, digital art and black-and-white photography.
There will be a separate category for professional photographer's entries.
Cash prizes and ribbons will be awarded to the first-, second- and third-place winners in each of the six amateur categories.
Judges will award ribbons only to the top three entries in the professional category.
What's cooking The chance for a meal and a cooking class will be held at Bottle Works, 411 Third Ave. in the Cambria City section of Johnstown.
A Pennsylvania Dutch Soiree will be held at 6:30 tonight.
The cost is $30.
Chef Tom Chulick of the Back Door Cafe will teach "Classic Crepe" at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
The cost is $25 for nonmembers and $22.50 for members.
Library list A variety of activities will be happening at Highland Community Library, 330 Schoolhouse Road, Richland Township.
Nutrition Links will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday, May 22 and May 29.
In this free program presented by Penn State Cooperative Extension, participants will learn how to stretch food dollars, plan and prepare tasty meals, use food stamps and other food resources wisely and keep food safe and healthy.
There is no cost to participate, but registration is required and sign-ups are limited.
Tales with Tails will meet at 4 p.m. Monday.
Children of all ages and abilities will have the opportunity to read to an AKC-certified Good Citizen dog.
The therapy dogs provide an opportunity for children to work on their reading skills, and participation can build confidence in struggling readers.
The teen book club will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
The May title is "The Outlaws of Sherwood" by Robin McKinley.
Copies of the book are available to borrow for library card holders.
Registration is preferred, but not required.
Third dimension A 3D-printing program will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday in the first-floor community room at Cambria County Library, 248 Main St., downtown Johnstown.
Lauri Steffy, a reference librarian from Indiana Free Library and Doug Fletcher, the IT manager for Homer City Automation, will lead the session.
A follow-up session will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The programs will introduce participants to the foundations of 3D-printing, including what it is, its uses and how it works.
They will be introduced to simple online software to design a 3D-object and have the opportunity to print it.
No 3D-printing experience is necessary.
This program is free and open to the public.

In Search Of, Obscurite, Cats in Congress and Tusk, Her will perform original music from 6:30 to 11 p.m.

Mom's music A Mother's Day concert will be presented by Johnstown Symphony Orchestra at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Somerset Area High School, 645 S. Columbia Ave.
Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children younger than age 12.
Book bargains Children's books which include board books through young adult will be featured at Inclined to Read Bookstore in the lobby at the Cambria County Library, 248 Main St. in downtown Johnstown.
Local history books, including some on the 1889 Johnstown Flood, and a selection of travel books also will be featured.
The store also will be filled with fiction and nonfiction, including art, business, children's, classics, gardening, health and wellness, history, sports and murder mystery.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
Hardback books are $1, children's books are 50 cents and paperbacks are 25 cents.
Keeping fit Yoga and belly dancing classes will be held at Bottle Works and the Art Works building of Bottle Works in the Cambria City section of Johnstown.

All are welcome. Admission is free.
Paddling adventure Members and guests of the Conemaugh Valley Conservancy will paddle the Packsaddle Gap and see traces of the Pennsylvania Main Line Canal during an outing Saturday.
The excursion will feature a 10-mile paddle of the Packsaddle Gap, between Robinson and Blairsville, with a stop at Lock No. 5 of the Main Line Canal.
During the outing, local heritage writer Dave Hurst will present a talk on the Main Line Canal.
The outing is expected to last five hours, and participants should provide their own boat and paddling gear, plus snacks or lunch.
The paddle is free for conservancy members and $10 for non-members.

Historical tour A Town-to-Town Tour, sponsored by the Cambria County Historical Society, will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at the historical society at 615 N. Center St., Ebensburg.
The bus tour will feature Carrolltown, St. Lawrence Hotel, Rembrandt Club, St. Benedict, St. Joe's Mission Church, Baker's Crossroads, Kittanning Trail and Patton Clayworks.
The cost is $15 or $10 for members.
Workshop deadline The reservation deadline for a career development workshop for visual artists at Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art at Ligonier Valley is Thursday.
The workshop will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. May 17.
The cost is $25.
Synced singers Straight No Chaser, a 10-member male a cappella group, will perform at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex on the campus of Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Their instrument-free musical style includes a modern pop twist.
Tickets range from $35 to $65.

Art scene The first Ligonier Art Walk will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday in downtown Ligonier.
Galleries on the Art Walk are Allegory Gallery, 215 E. Main St.; Conte Design-Lifestyle Gallery, 113 E. Main St.; Dovecote Ligonier?, 136 W. Main St.; G Squared Gallery, 138 E. Main St.; Gilliland Fine Art, 112 E. Main St.; Jaime Cooper Gallery & Studio, 212 W. Main St.; and Main Exhibit Gallery, 301 W. Main St.
In addition, Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art at Ligonier Valley will have a special art event from 10 a.m. to noon.
The Art Walk is a joint effort to showcase the fine art represented in Ligonier and will culminate in artists' receptions from 4 to 7 p.m. at each establishment.
Art in the family "Family Works with the Ed Family" will be on display through June 30 at Bottle Works, 411 Third Ave. in the Cambria City section of Johnstown.
The show will feature paintings, photographs, sculpture and other artworks from members of the Ed family.

Student artwork An art display by two Indiana University of Pennsylvania students will be on display through May 17 in the Classic Corner on the main floor of Cambria County Library, 248 Main St., downtown Johnstown.
Christina Sassone works in two- and three-dimensional mediums to explore the various possibilities of materials and to broaden her knowledge in both areas.
Her pieces include an oil-on-canvas titled "Post-Flood 1889." She has had her work displayed in "Beyond the Surface" at the Art Works building.
Elizabeth Sherrier held her first solo art exhibit in Cumberland, Maryland.
She has illustrated in magazines, created commissioned pieces and taught students of the National Art Education Association.
Current art "Maps, Scotch Bonnets & Snallygasters: Current Works by Michael Allison" will be on display through May 31 at the Art Works building of Bottle Works, 413 Third Ave. in the Cambria City section of Johnstown.
Healing exhibit "The Art of Healing Exhibition: Reflections 2014" will be on display through June 6 at Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art at Johnstown, Pasquerilla Performing Arts Center, Richland.
The museum collaborated with Conemaugh Health System's Healthcare Partnership Program to conduct an exhibit of work stemming from an initiative to help area residents experiencing mental and physical disabilities.
