personal dedication and commitment to diversity, and to Children's
Hospital Los Angeles. I'm proud and privileged to lead CHLA, a unique
children's hospital community with one of the nation's most diverse
patient populations, and an equally diverse staff."

in 2006 and has led the institution to its current standing as one of
the top five children's hospitals in the nation, according to U.S. News
