business communications solutions, today announced that Southlands
Christian Schools, an education institution with three campuses in
Southern California, selected RingCentral's cloud business
communications platform to replace an outdated on-premise PBX system and
more effectively manage communications with parents and across a staff
of 100 administrators and educators.
Southlands Christian Schools recently moved its pre-school through 8th
grade programs to a new campus. For the proposed transtion, the
school's legacy system would have been too difficult to manage and
required system downtime, which would put users offline during critical
work hours. RingCentral was selected because its cloud-based
communications platform was feature-rich, flexible and easy to deploy
and use with little to no staff training.
"The biggest gripe I had with setting up another PBX on-premise system
for our new campus was the infrastructure I would have to lay down, and
that I knew wouldn't be able to communicate with the other systems in
our other locations," said Rainier Apolonio, IT Director at Southlands.
"I implemented RingCentral across all of our sites, so now the school
staff of over 100 can reach one another with simple extensions."
With RingCentral, Southlands Christian Schools is able to gain control
of its phone system, organize departmental calling, and provide teachers
and staff with business phone numbers. Teachers now can take and return
calls on their personal mobile phones by using their school numbers,
thus enabling them to keep their personal numbers private. By empowering
