Teen Drivers' Deaths and Injuries in Connecticut Drop, Driving Simulator Firm - Stisim Drive - Presents a Way to Further Lower the Number
(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Hartford, CT (PRWEB) January 29, 2014 The deaths and injuries among teenage drivers in Connecticut have greatly dropped. In response to it, Stisim Drive – a driving simulator company – introduced a new method of driving training that would help teens become much safer while behind the wheel.
In a report from theridgefieldpress.com dated January 28, 2013, it was said that the decrease of teen driving accidents was due to the stronger restrictions and safety standards imposed to drivers at age 16-17. Particularly, it shared that in comparison to the recorded deaths of teenage drivers in 1999-2003, the number for 2008-2012 dropped by 64%.
The new laws, according to the report, was introduced in Connecticut in 2004. It detailed that it included a first-ever six-month passenger prohibition on friends and a curfew after midnight.
However, in 2008, the report added that the provisions were edited. It related that the six-month passenger prohibition was increased to a year. The 12 midnight curfew, it shared, was also changed to 11 pm.
Here is an excerpt from the said report.
“As January marks the 10th anniversary for Connecticut imposing restrictions and stronger safety standards on teen drivers, a recent Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles analysis shows these standards “have brought large decreases in crashes, injuries and deaths in the last decade,” the department said Monday.” According to Stisim Drive, teen drivers are the most prone to vehicular accidents due to inexperience. Because of that, it commented that they indeed need stronger restrictions.
Besides that though, it said that training with a driving simulation system could also make them safer while behind the wheel. And so, it recommended it to teenage drivers and everyone else who's driving.
Stisim Drive said that the machine provides a safe training environment. With it, possible mistakes would not risk anyone's health no matter how dangerous the driving situation a person is practicing on it, it stated.
However, of all the driving simulation systems, Stisim Drive said that its own simulators are the best. It gave three reasons for that. And as it stated that's because they are products of the company's 25 years in the industry, they provide cost-effective output and they are of multiple uses.
It elaborated that its systems aren't just for honing driving skills and on-the-road decision-making, although that is its primary purpose. It said that they could also be used for driving simulation research and rehabilitation. And with its Stisim Drive software being full of possible road scenarios, programmable and customizable, it also assured that it would fit to anyone's need.
