District 2 Toastmasters, part of Toastmasters International, will be
recognizing February 2-8, 2014 as Toastmasters International Week, as
proclaimed by Washington State Governor Jay Inslee. In his proclamation,
Inslee states that "the ability to speak in a clear and effective manner
is a powerful and important skill that can help overcome barriers to
effective performance in virtually every endeavor and line of work."
"This is a tremendous way to recognize the opportunities to improve
communication and leadership skills that Toastmasters International
provides," said Sandy Malone, District 2 Governor. "I invite anyone
interested in self-improvement to visit a Toastmasters club to see for
themselves how they can benefit."
