PCTEL, Inc. (NASDAQ:PCTI), a leader in simplifying wireless and site
solutions for private and public networks, hosted the In-Building
Wireless Forum earlier today. Equipment manufacturers, distributors,
service providers, market analysts, and other thought leaders gathered
at PCTEL's Bloomingdale, Ill. headquarters for the forum. Participants
discussed the future of in-building wireless in the light of rapid
growth and change in the industry over the last year.
"Today's cold weather in the Chicago area is a great reminder of why
in-building wireless is so important," said Marty Singer, PCTEL's
Chairman and CEO. "Today, 90 percent of all wireless communication takes
place inside offices, arenas, hospitals, homes, and other in-building
venues. Participants in today's forum are all committed to providing
'five-bar' in-building wireless coverage and capacity and we were
delighted to host this important industry event," added Singer.
PCTEL's In-Building Wireless Forum focused on products, services, and
test tools that can be used to deliver exceptional WiFi, cellular, and
public safety wireless service to indoor facilities. Challenges
discussed included increasing demand for high-speed data over WiFi and
LTE, as well as the need to deliver multiple wireless technologies over
a single small cell network or Distributed Antenna System (DAS).
Among tday's participants were American Tower Corporation; Ariel
Investments; Bloom Projects, LLC; Cincinnati Bell Telephone; Elauwit
Networks; Education Realty Trust (EdR); Environmental Systems Design,
Inc. (ESD); ExteNet Systems, Inc.; Harrison Street Real Estate Capital
LLC; Perritt Capital Management, Inc.; Radio Frequency Systems (RFS),
