Media Advisory - FIBRE Conference - Largest university-led forestry meeting in the world kicks off with a funding announcement, international research award announcement and offers web-based conference coverage
CORNWALL, ON, May 13, 2013, 2013 (Canada NewsWire via COMTEX) -- 400 delegates are attending the first-ever collaborative FIBRE conference of Canada's eight forest sector research networks. The conference will highlight university-led forest product and process innovations, university-industry collaborations and student training.
On May 14, during the opening plenary session, a FIBRE funding announcement will be made, followed by a prestigious international award announcement. The conference will also feature 175 scientific technical posters and an entrepreneurial workshop for students.
The conference is being held at the NAV Centre in Cornwall, Ontario from May 13-16, 2013.

FIBRE's mandate comes from a partnership comprised of Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada(NSERC), FPInnovations, Natural Resources Canada and the Forest Products Association of Canada (FPAC).
