McCarter & English was honored to receive the Outstanding Law Firm
Volunteer of the Year award from the Pro Bono Partnership at a ceremony
in New York City Wednesday night.

provide free legal assistance to its clients - nonprofit organizations
serving the poor or providing other important social and community
services in Connecticut, New Jersey and New York. The Partnership
annually celebrates the most extraordinary volunteers by issuing

McCarter earned the law firm award after 40 of the firm's lawyers

44 matters for 28 different nonprofit organizations.
"This is a great honor because the Pro Bono Partnership is such an

managing partner. "Through the Partnership we have been able to provide
important legal services to many worthy causes, and we plan to continue
to make our work with the Partnership a critical part of our pro bono

helping an immeasurable number of the disadvantaged communities that
those groups serve," said Emily Goldberg, McCarter's pro bono director.
