Compound interest can really pay
Feb 14, 2013 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Modelling by a number of economists and fund managers reveals the power of compound interest when it comes to investing in shares. Unfortunately, all too few investors are focused on the long-term. AMP Capital's Shane Oliver claims that someone who acquired $A100 worth of shares back in 1926, and who then re-invested all dividends, would have a portfolio worth about $A1.64 million in 2013.
