Tigers' single-game ticket prices increase for 2013
Feb 11, 2013 (Detroit Free Press - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Plan on your wallet getting a little lighter this year if you plan on going to several Detroit Tigers games this summer at Comerica Park.
Single-game ticket prices were posted on Tigers.com recently, and it shows big increases in several areas (something has to pay for the high payroll, right ).
The biggest change is there are now three tiers of ticket pricing: Premium, regular and the all-new "value" pricing for home games in April, May and September (not counting opening weekend vs. the New York Yankees).
The value games, which take place during school, non-summer months, are somewhat cheaper than regular and premium prices, though they're still generally more expensive than what regular prices were last season.
For example, skyline seating, which used to cost fans just $5, now cost $20 for premium games, $15 for regular games and $12 for value games.
Bleacher seats are now $23 for premium games and $18 for regular and value games, compared to $17 for premium and $15 for regular last year.
On average, ticket prices are up about $5, though it varies by seating. Below are the full prices (for more, including a seating chart, click here).
Single-game tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. March 2. You can purchase season ticket packages on Tigers.com.
