PolicyPak Rolls Out Support Pak for OpenOffice
(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) (PRWEB) December 21, 2012 PolicyPak Software, a leader in desktop security management, has released a new software pak for OpenOffice, which allows IT admins to deliver and remediate settings for users.
The pre-configured Pak used in conjunction with PolicyPak Professional, for example, gives IT admins the ability to turn off automatic updates, enforce an Autorecovery timer, and always create backup copy for OpenOffice users.
PolicyPak manages all of the setting configurations for OpenOffice Writer, Calc, Match, Impress and Draw within the OpenOffice suite. Better yet, PolicyPak automatically remediates the settings each time the application is launched.
"There are so many configuration settings to choose from in OpenOffice that it can become daunting for any user. But when you deliver the settings using PolicyPak, users don’t have to think at all. What you set is what they get," says Jeremy Moskowitz, the founder of PolicyPak. He is an expert on Group Policy and desktop management.
PolicyPak Professional customers have access to the OpenOffice pak, as well as dozens of other pre-configured applications for free. Some of the most popular Paks offer up secure solutions for Java, Flash, Firefox and Shockwave. Solutions are also available for less popular applications and custom made applications with the PolicyPak Design Studio.
IT Admins can find out more about PolicyPak by attending a Group Policy Webinar at the PolicyPak Website, or by calling (800) 883-8002.
