Digital media and content expert Scott Raynovich joined Infonetics
Research in September 2012, bringing with him over 20 years of
experience in media with Light Reading, United Business Media's
(UBM) PR Newswire, Red Herring, LAN Times, and McGraw-Hill.
An internationally recognized expert in technology, telecom, and
financial markets, Scott has appeared on CNN, CNBC, and National
Public Radio and is regularly quoted in Reuters, Dow Jones, Barron's,
and the San Jose Mercury News.
As Editor in Chief of investment content at UBM PR Newswire,
Scott directed the content program for a webinar series that reached
millions of investors and also conceived and created
InvestorUprising.com, an investment portal that earned an Editor and
Publisher Award for Best Business Blog in 2012.
From 2000 to 2009, Scott was Editor in Chief, Editorial Director, and
business partner at Light Reading, where he managed an editorial
staff of more than 12 that broke thousands of stories, including the
demise of Lucent and Cisco's $7-billion acquisition of
Scientific-Atlanta. He was also instrumental in building the research,
premium content, and events business at Light Reading, which grew
to be a $20-million/year company (Light Reading was acquired by
UBM in 2005).
Previously, Scott was the Investment Editor at Red Herring, where
he helped launch the magazine's first website, Redherring.com, which won
a Folio Editorial Excellence award for best investment website. He has
also written for Wired.com and the Prague Post, in addition to
spending years as an independent analyst, investor, and founder of his
