CTIA 2012: Cellebrite Advances Mobile POS Experience with Self Service Point Solution for Mobile Retail Stores in North America
GLEN ROCK, N.J. --(Business Wire)--
Cellebrite
USA, the leading provider of mobile forensic and mobile data
transfer solutions, today at CTIA (News - Alert) Wireless® 2012
announced the general availability of its Self-Service Point for the
North American mobile retail industry. In line with Cellebrite's (News - Alert) mission
to empower the point-of-sale (POS), the new Self-Service Point provides
retailers with the ability to strengthen in-store services by allowing
customers to quickly and easily perform in-store actions entirely on
their own and with a quicker turnaround. In addition, customers can
visit the store at any point post-purchase in order to access the
featured content and services of their choice.
The Self-Service Point gives customers hands-on access to advanced
services traditionally performed by retail associates. At the retail
store, customers can simply connect their device to the in-store
Self-Service Point, leveraging the user-friendly interface and simple
touch screen to perform a wide range of services, including the ability
to:
-
Back-up and restore personal content and contacts directly from a
mobile device onto a USB flash drive
-
Immediately and efficiently transfer personal content from one mobile
device to another
-
Access a directory of "best in class" applications and multimedia
content personalized by user-profile and device type, selected by the
carrier or retiler for immediate in-store download
By enhancing the customer experience at the store level throughout the
customer relationship and beyond the initial purchase, the Self-Service
Point aids retailers in improving customer satisfaction and reducing
churn. Retailers also benefit from enhanced store associate efficiency
and reduced operating costs, along with additional opportunity for
in-store promotions and increased revenue from device sales and upgrades.
"We are trending towards a self-serve society, where consumers are
empowered to do more than ever by themselves, without the reliance on a
third party. Consumers have access to self service points at airports,
grocery stores, and other environments, and now have the same access in
the mobile retail store," said Jim Grady, CEO of Cellebrite USA. "Our
Self-Service Point is the next evolution of walk out working, where
consumers leave the store with all of their contacts and applications
pre-loaded from the minute they make the purchase."
The Cellebrite Self-Service Point and the portable Cellebrite Touch
device, support more than 4,000 mobile device models and all major
mobile operating systems, including iOS, Android, Windows Mobile,
BlackBerry®, Symbian (News - Alert) and Palm. As part of the Self-Service Point
product, Cellebrite provides an integrated single-board computer with an
LED panel and up to 16 ports, cable kit according to customer
requirements and 12-months of free software updates and support for new
devices. Retailers can add an optional touch-screen or customize the
casing of the solution, including the ability to create a wall-mounted
system or company branded stand-alone unit.
