Amazon Reader Sold Out In Five Hours
(InvesTrend Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) November 21, 2007 (FinancialWire) Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) CEO Jeff Bezos said that the company s Kindle reader sold out in 5 hours following its introduction on Monday.
The Kindle retails for $399 on the website and can hold up to 200 novels, as well as subscription services to newspapers including the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal.
Some bloggers have mocked the 10 ounce device s design, but it has garnered considerable attention for the holiday shopping season.
Amazon customers who purchase the Kindle from the company s website will have to wait 10 days for the device to be shipped.
