SDN Startup Anuta Networks Releases New Network Management Software

By Paula Bernier March 17, 2014

Enabling new capabilities for remote site LANs, WAN and data center all while maintaining consistent provisioning and monitoring of services across the total network is a key challenge for network administrators, as explained by a customer of Anuta Networks. So the supplier has responded with its Technology Platform 3.0 software.

Anuta Networks is an SDN startup founded in 2010 by former Cisco/Jahi Networks employees Chandu Guntakala, Srini Beereddy, and Praveen Vengalam. The company is headquartered in Milpitas, Calif., and has R&D operations in Bangalore, India. Anuta is virtualizing Layer 4-7 services, such as QoS, WAN acceleration, firewall security, load balancing, and monitoring, so that they can be more easily applied to applications that require these services.

The company’s latest software release delivers added support for Cisco ASR 9K, metro Ethernet switches, Juniper SRX and vGW, Fortinet Fortigate FW and Radware LB; global VDC spanning multiple data center PODs and LAN, WAN use cases; and support for the Cisco IWAN technologies PFR, PBR, AVC, and DMVPN, and for DCI based on MPLS L2VPN and L3VPN. Anuta Networks is showing this new solution this week at Cisco Live Australia.

Also this week, the company announced that Norwegian data center services provider Fjord IT is using its solutions and a strategic partner to service large enterprises in Northern Europe.

“More and more enterprise customers are reducing significant operational complexity, and realizing the promise of SDN in their existing networks, by leveraging the intelligent power of Anuta Networks' single network services orchestration solution,” said Srini Beereddy, CTO of Anuta Networks. “We're excited to advance the reach of our NCX Enterprise technology to more enterprises around the world with the market-leading green data power services of Fjord IT.”

For more information on SDN, Software Telco Congress – The NFV Event from Aug. 11-14 at The Rio – Las Vegas will provide education and networking opportunities.
